The Grapes of Wrath review

Quite a movie real life as can be. My Mom and dad and grandma’s and grandpa’s came through the Dust Bowls Days to California from Oklahoma and Arkansas. They were treated like dirt and lived in tents etc. I recall in the early 50’s following the fruit as an emigrant. We all were born in the USofA. We lived in chicken pins instead of labor camps, and tents on occasions. The poor white folks ran off their lands by the wealthy in the 30’s same as in the 1780’s slave days. When slaves were brought in the poorest white folks by the thousands were driven homeless and many died from starvation. Not blaming the slaves but the rich who replaced the poor white folk with slaves. All of life has its down falls. Only the rich and intelligent and very aggressive people survive well. This movie is a must see!

The Strange love of Martha Ivers

A 1946 Drama Kirk Douglas, ‎Barbara Stanwyck‎; ‎Van Heflin and Lizabeth Scott, Directed by Lewis MilestoneLove and mystery, strong on the love. A highly emotional film, I bounced back and forth unto who was the main character several times. If you want emotions, this love story is full of it. Dancing back and forth with your emotions, this film has to be one of my favorite.

Young Mr. Lincoln review

Posted : 3 years, 7 months ago on 19 September 2020 05:59 (A review of Young Mr. Lincoln)

Young Mr. Lincoln certainly had a good composer, for the film was black and white yet hardly noticeable. As the story unfolds, ungodliness boldly raises its head through the Law. Though romance seems to try to take control, it never quite gets the star roll. Lincoln uses his story telling imagination to pave the way for having a good conscience, versus and evil one. Godliness prevails in the film, honing the conscience of all involved. Life experiences should always be used to cleanse our conscience of wrong ways. Good prevails and Lincoln walks off the film heading to the House on the Heal.

Passage West review

Posted : 3 years, 7 months ago on 18 September 2020 03:08 (A review of Passage West)

Just watched this was very boring from the start but hung in and it finally swayed me. A group of escaped prisoners join up with a wagon train heading to Ca. They take control of the train and bad things start to happen. Hate and love finds its ways. the gang ends up destroying itself by fighting against one another until their leader blows himself and all the others up with black-powder in a mining cave. Got heavy emotional as Love started to bending the ways. Fair movie.

Black Snake Moan review

Posted : 3 years, 7 months ago on 14 September 2020 06:41 (A review of Black Snake Moan)

This is one of the most real to life dramas I have experienced of flicks. Tears trying to escape my eyes most of the way through. The foul mouth is a bit rough but there are so many real life events as the such. The Godly focus puts it into real perspective because after 38 years on this earth I found out that god is for real. One must invite Jesus into their life if they want to know for sure. "This Little Light of Mine," is a tender witness to his grace. Sing it, see if you do not feel it.

The Old Man and the Sea review

Posted : 3 years, 7 months ago on 25 August 2020 06:50 (A review of The Old Man and the Sea)

The Old Man and the Sea is a short novel written by the American author Ernest Hemingway in 1951 in Cuba, and published in 1952. It was the last major work of fiction written by Hemingway that was published during his lifetime. I read this book while still quite young I was taken away into the scene by this wonderful story writer. There is a different version of it floating around that is not so kind as this great write. Thanks Mr Hemingway.

Best message song from Johnny yet. Not many songs cut right through the heart unto life eternal. Mr Cash holds nothing back.

Johnny Cash review

Posted : 3 years, 8 months ago on 19 August 2020 04:22 (A review of Johnny Cash)

One of John's last recordings. The aches and pains of his life have caught up to him just prior to his Rapture'd Soul
